24x36x1.5 acrylic on unframed, gallery wrapped canvas depicting a portrait of a young woman who’s mouth is covered with a cell phone on a binary coded background.
Look Who's Talking
This conceptual work comments on the current trend of communication to transpire through cell phones and other social media. On the soft, green background, binary code spells out the title of the piece as well as the artist’s name. Around the edge is the name of the subject. The message of the painting is not positive or negative--simply a statement of what is. I wanted the viewer to consider the implications of this particular technology themselves.
