Fiber, color and texture speak to me. I enjoy the challenge of a developing a new design or a new technique. My career began in high school when I won a contest in Seventeen Magazine for my stuffed animals. Eventually I evolved into a line of quilted clothing, then into the patterns and kits for the clothing. The next natural eveolution was to make art quilts. I’m currently working on an inovative new line of clothing where I stich yarns, ribbons and fabrics together to make the garment. I am fortunate to have been a fiber artist all my life. I feel I have done something postitive if someone walks into their home and smiles when they see my work or when someone feels wrapped in beauty when wearing my clothing. It is an honor to share my work.
